On August 26th, THE WHITE BUFFALO will make his late night TV performance debut on Jimmy Kimmel Live, in support of his latest albumShadows, Greys, and Evil Ways (Unison Music Group). NPR All Songs Considered has called songwriter Jake Smith "an amazing storyteller" and the album traces the life story of Joey White, a small town outsider who goes to war and returns home only to find more violence as he struggles to readjust to a life away from the front lines and reconcile with the girl he left behind. The album (released in September of 2013) debuted in the Top 10 on Billboard's New Artist Chart and has spawned multiple singles and placements including Sons of Anarchy and more.
The song "This Year", being performed for the first time on TV, tells a story of hope and longing for the lead character of the story struggling to re-enter his life in the mainstream after returning from combat.
